Trident Room and Restroom - Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA

The Trident room is considered the most nostalgic social facility at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California. The main focus of this renovation was the preservation of the rich time-honored ambiance that has been enjoyed by many service men and women throughout the world. The unique feature of this $551,000.00 renovation was the incorporation of old and new materials. Many items such as the wood flooring, stained glass, copper and brass accents were restored and reinstalled with new bar equipment, interior finishes and modern electronic systems for lighting and sound. Care had to be taken to meet current seismic requirements for the beam and ceiling suspension system. This was accomplished through the design build feature of the project. Clearly this project demonstrates the level of craftsmanship that J. I. Garcia offers from its in house workforce.
