Scope

This project was a Design Build of a temporary office facility made necessary by the realignment of the RDAT&E Weapons and Armament functions at seven (7) bases across the country. This  new facility was to accommodate 150 personnel being relocated to the Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS), China Lake as a result of that realignment. The hybrid contract for this temporary facility was a lump sum lease for 24 months. At the end of the le 
ase period, J.I. Garcia Construction, Inc. is scheduled to deconstruct the entire site and building. In the event the planned permanent facility is delayed, the government may exercise the option to extend the lease for an indefinite period at a pre-negotiated lease price.
