Project Management

Our project management approach focuses on the rigorous control of project schedule, quality and scope.  However, no project can be successfully managed without a focus on safety.  This multi-focused approach has served us well, our 28 years of success and has contributed to our consistent delivery of quality projects which meet our clients’ requirements.

Throughout a project’s preconstruction and construction phases, our time tested, and proven, project management system ensures an immediate and accurate assessment of requirements and deliverables.  In addition, the ability to provide ongoing, real-time project status to senior management in effect provides us with checks and balances and allows us to make timely and unexpected adjustments to project schedules by redirecting resources to any facet of the project which requires immediate attention.

Some of the tools used by our project management teams include resource loaded schedules, projection of cost budgets, short interval schedules and production schemes. We also recognize the value of communication and our emphasis on vertically integrated collaboration and open communication with all internal and external stakeholders

J.I. Garcia Construction, Inc. recognizes the value of continuous improvement and that being ‘good enough is not always good enough’.  Training is therefore provided so that our project management teams stay on the cutting edge. Every manager is required to complete the US Army Corps of Engineers CQM certification. Additionally, they must complete the USGBC LEED Green Associate certification for green building construction and are required to stay current with their 10 hour OSHA training and all other company safety certifications.
